Since their founding, America's schools have been charged with preparing and motivating each new generation of citizens. Because we all have a stake in the health of our democracy, we all have a stake in the civic mission of schools.

To support the civic mission of schools, we must:  provide all students with a high-quality, engaging and rigorous civic learning experience; equip schools with adequate resources and  teachers trained in effective civic learning practices; and develop standards for civic learning and the means to ensure students and schools are meeting them.

If you support the Campaign’s goal to elevate and strengthen the civic mission of schools, take a minute to sign on in support.  By endorsing the Campaign, you are helping to advance the goal that every student learns the fundamental ideas, principles and values of our representative democracy, and graduates from high school ready to take on the responsibilities of citizenship.
