| In recent decades,
concern has grown about the increasing number of Americans who are
becoming disengaged from civic and political institutions. This
disengagement extends to political and electoral processes such as
voting and being informed about public issues. In many ways young
people reflect these trends. Americans under the age of 25 are less
likely to vote than older Americans.

Campaign Overview
The Campaign for the Civic Mission Schools was created to increase the
quality and quantity of civic learning in our schools, grades K-12. The
Campaign works to bring about changes in state, local, and national

coalition of more than 40 advocates, educators, practitioners, and
