    Description

A Salute to Our Flag acquaints students in kindergarten through third grade with the significance of the Flag.

Students are introduced to the purpose, symbolism, and history of the United States flag. They also learn how to demonstrate respect for the flag and have many opportunities to communicate what they have learned with others.

The curriculum, a result of a collaboration between the New York State Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas, is intended to help prepare young children to become more responsible, active citizens who appreciate and respect the flag.  Materials are provided in English and Spanish.

    __________________________________________________________

A meaningful opportunity for America's youngest students to begin developing civic habits.
