At their October meeting, the Campaign for the Civic Mission of Schools' Steering Committee was honored by a visit from Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.  Demonstrating her commitment to civic learning, Justice O'Connor spent over an hour with committee members discussing civic learning and the challenges facing the Campaign.   

Justice O'Connor attended the Steering Committee meeting to get better acquainted with the Campaign in her capacity as Co-Chair of the National Advisory Council of the Campaign.   

The Justice's contributions to the Campaign and to civic learning - she is also Honorary Co-Chair of the ABA's new Commission on Civic Education and Separation of Powers - are helping to advance the civic mission of schools.
