STORY -- School Violence Prevention Demonstration Program, PA

STORY -- School Violence Prevention Demonstration Program, PA

"I’ve been working with the Authority lessons. I have a very low-functioning ESOL student who gets really excited and 'tunes in' to the lessons. Really, these lessons are the only thing that he participates in! He listens and responds regularly, which is a big deal for him.

The other day someone started to go to the bathroom without permission, and he raised his hand and said, 'He’s giving himself authority without permission. You should be the authority.'  The fact that he took what he learned and applied it to a life situation was a major breakthrough!”
