Vermont's Framework of Standards and Learning Opportunities contain Civic/Social Responsibility Standards (4.1 - 4.6), as well as History and Social Science Standards, which include Citizenship (6.9 - 6.12).

Vermont's Framework of Standards and Learning Opportunities recommend opportunities for students to apply knowledge to real needs, opportunities for learning experiences with personal, community or global relevance, and opportunities to participate in democratic processes in the school and community.
