| Professional development resource description |
Each year the Foundations of Democracy program holds a week-long Professional Development Institute, co-sponsored with state level offices of the Youth for Justice Project and the School Violence Prevention Demonstration Program of the Center for Civic Education.
This institute trains teachers in the content and methodology of the program. The teachers in turn become turn-key teachers in their states.
Participation in the Professional Development Institute is free and all materials are paid for by the program.
